The Next Generation of Decoy Collectors
Ted Harmon and his wife of 40 years, Judy, own and operate
Decoys Unlimited Inc. in Massachusetts, on Cape
Cod. They have been at their West Barnstable location
since 1970. Ted has been a highly regarded figure
in the collecting world since 1966 and involved
in the business full time since 1976. The auction
aspect of the business began in 1986. He maintains
a comprehensive personal collection of New England
decoys, a research library, attends auctions and
shows nationwide, to further his understanding of
current market trends. He was a partner in Theodore
S. Harmon and Sons on Cape Cod prior to beginning
his antiques business in 1976. Judy is a registered
nurse with 35 years experience in geriatrics and
nursing facility administration.
Decoys Unlimited Inc. is a nationally recognized
full service company for collectors of American
bird decoys, folk art, and related items. We offer
personalized collection advice, auction and private
purchase representation, brokering for sales, and
complete appraisal services. Our website has been
active since the mid 90's and we maintain an extensive
computer database of collectors and dealers, their
interests and wants.
We publish a full color catalog for each auction.
Items are pictured at no additional charge to the
consigner. The cataloging, catalog design, and photography
is done in house by Ted and Judy. All consigners
receive a free catalog for the sale featuring their
consignments. For clients who can't attend our live
auctions, we offer absentee, phone, and internet
bidding. Our catalogs are published on our website
as well as on the Live Auctioneers and Ebay site to provide
maximize exposure for your consignments.
